No 7 seed Felix Auger-Aliassime took care of Alex de Minaur 6-3, 6-2 in round two of the Western & Southern Open on Wednesday afternoon.

De Minaur had defeated Swiss qualifier Henri Laaksonen 6-2, 6-2 in the previous round, but the Aussie was no match for Auger-Aliassime — who enjoyed a first-round bye. The Canadian’s second match of the week will come against either Jannik Sinner or Miomir Kecmanovic.
