American John Isner, the No 5 seed, moved into the second round of the Dallas Open by defeating Chun-Hsin Tseng 7-6 (5), 7-6 (1) at the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex on Tuesday night.

Isner, ranked No 39, will face the winner of the match between American qualifier Zachary Svajda and German Daniel Altmaier next.
