20-time Grand Slam winner Rafael Nadal has arrived in Melbourne ahead of the Australian Open Grand Slam, which begins in less than three weeks.

35-year-old Nadal, ranked sixth in the world, posted a picture of himself from the courts at Melbourne Park on Friday on his social media account. The Spaniard has not played on the tour since the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati due to a foot injury, which also caused him to miss the US Open.

Nadal announced a few days ago that he tested positive for COVID-19 after going back to Spain following the Mubadala World Tennis Championships in Abu Dhabi.

The Spaniard has chosen to skip the ATP Cup this time around and will instead compete at the ATP 250 event in Melbourne next week as he begins his campaign for a second Australian Open title.
