Belarusian Ilya Ivashka reached the last eight of the Sofia Open with an upset win over Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, the No 3 seed, 6-3, 7-6 (3) at the Arena Armeec Sofia on Wednesday evening.
Ivashka, ranked No 71, will play the winner of the match between Italian Lorenzo Sonego and Dane Holger Rune, the No 5 seed, next.
The Belarusian edged out Swede Mikael Ymer (7-6 (8), 4-6, 7-5) in the previous round of the Sofia.
