  • 18h54
    QUARTER 3: GASQUET LEADS 6-4

Lopez has to have this quarter but he just can't find the solutions against Gasquet. The Frenchman saunters off to a 6-4 lead and he'll serve next.
  • 18h47
QUARTER 2: Gasquet takes it 18-14

The Frenchman's mastery over his good friend El Torero continues. At one point it was tied at 11-11 but Gasquet had cards in his pocket and took charge to win 7 of the final 10 points.
  • 18h43
    QUARTER 2: Gasquet leads 17-11

  • 18h32
    QUARTER: Gasquet wins it 14-12

  • 18h25
    QUARTER 1: Gasquet leads 7-3

Gasquet had reeled off six straight points to lead 6-2, which forced Feliciano Lopez to use his "Next Point X2" card early.

It doesn't pay dividends however and Gasquet now leads 7-3.
  • 18h25
    QUARTER 1: Gasquet leads 11-7

Gasquet uses the "Next Point X2" card with a 9-6 lead and 3:43 left on the clock. And he takes one of the two points, lacing a forehand winner to lead 11-7.

  • 17h57

A brilliant comeback from Dustin Brown from 12-6 down. And the German's mini-triumph is big for Corentin Moutet. The Frenchman has qualified for tomorrow's semi-finals as a result of Brown's win in the quarter.
  • 17h05
    QUARTER 1: Verdasco leads 12-10

The Spaniard stretches his lead by using the Next Point X2 card for four. Good start for El Fuego, who really has been quite solid at UTS.

Oh, but look out. Brown answers with a four-point turnaround to get within two.
  • 16h47
    MOUTET WINS BY DEFAULT

Updating the status of Benoit Paire, who appeared to be suffering from heat exhaustion. He looks to be feeling okay and was recently being monitored by health professionals.

Here was the abrupt ending to the match:

In the meantime, Moutet chance's are good, and the Frenchman will have to cheer for Dustin Brown to score a quarter off of Fernando Verdasco to qualify for the semis...
  • 16h31
    QUARTER 3: Moutet Leads 16-8

It's all Moutet now as he's just converted both of his Next Point X2 cards. And just like that Benoit Paire has retired. He walks off the court and forfeits the quarter. So the match is over and Paire has defaulted.
  • 16h26
    QUARTER 3: Moutet leads 9-5

Moutet scores three off a net cord serve winner. The no-let rule pays dividends for Moutet. More hard luck for Paire.
  • 16h19
QUARTER 2: Moutet wins it 18-11

Moutet took over the quarter late and Paire didn't have the time - or energy - to get back into it.
  • 16h16
    QUARTER 2: Moutet leads 15-10

Moutet takes his next point x2 card and reels off four points to lead by 3. Now it's Paire struggling and Moutet takes two more points on Paire's serve as the clock ticks under a minute.
  • 16h15

  • 15h53

  • 15h46

  • 15h19
    QUARTER 3: Dimitrov wins quarter 3, 15-14!

It comes down to a deciding point as Dimitrov ties it at 14 at the buzzer.

    And...

Dimitrov wins it as the buzzer as a Mahut backhand sails long.
  • 15h12
    QUARTER 3: Mahut leads 9-7

A flashy backhand volley - ah, the Frenchman's net game! - for 8-7 and Mahut leads by a sliver after taking the next point. It's looking like quite a UTS debut for Mahut.
  • 15h05
QUARTER 2: Mahut takes the quarter 15-13

It was 13-all with :22 on the clock and Dimitrov played his -1 serve card forcing Mahut to hit two second serves...

  • 14h50
    QUARTER 2: Mahut leads 5-1

The Musketeer is settling into the format and the court and he's taken an early 5-1 lead. No cards in play just yet in quarter two.
  • 14h46
QUARTER 1: Dimitrov wins the first quarter, 14-11

    QUARTER 1: Dimitrov leads 14-10

The Frenchman takes a crack at his winners x 3 card and scores four points to close the gap to four. But only 30 seconds left now.
  • 14h41
    Quarter 1: Dimitrov leads 10-6

And Mahut comes back after a timeout to use his next point x 2 card. The Frenchman seems to be enjoying himself except for the heat. But it is the Bulgarian who claims two points in succession to take control of the set.
  • 13h59
    QUARTER 1: Moutet leads 15-13

Moutet tied it at 13-13 with 1:30 left and he had one use of his next point x 2 card...
