Benoit Paire is a professional tennis player from France.

Does Paire play UTS?

Yes, Paire is known as “The Rebel” in UTS. The Frenchman is one of the mainstays of the format since it began in 2020, only missing two of the seven events so far.

Despite his consistency, Paire’s results on the court have been underwhelming. He has made the Final Four once, at UTS Frankfurt 2023, and has failed to move beyond the group stage on all other occasions. Paire was told by the French Federation on April 22, 2021 that he will not be considered for selection for the Olympics in 2021, due to his “repeated and deeply inappropriate behaviour”. Paire, who has admitted he has struggled to cope with the Covid-19 restrictions around the tennis world, has behaved badly on several occasions at tournaments, even claiming he was just there to collect the first-round prize money. Paire has apologised and vowed to improve, the FFT said.
