These two have not faced each other at Roland-Garros since this 2015 showdown. In the quarter-finals, Djokovic prevailed in straight sets to hand Nadal his second-ever defeat at Porte d'Auteuil.

In 2015, the Serb stopped the bleeding against the Spaniard -- a series of six head-to-head losses in a row at Roland-Garros. In his second French Open appearance in 2006, the 19-Grand Slam winner benefited from a Djokovic retirement in the quarter-finals. In the semis of Roland-Garros in 2007 and 2008, Djokovic fell in straight sets both times.
