Juan Manuel Cerundolo and his older brother Francisco each earned his maiden ATP victory last week at at the Cordoba Open – on the same day! It was a special day for the family, just days after both players qualified for the main draw to become the first Argentinian brothers to play in the same ATP main draw since 1981, they were winning matches. A few days later Juan Manuel made history when he became the first player to win the title on his ATP main draw debut.

This weekend, thanks to Francisco, the siblings were bidding to become the first pair of siblings to win ATP titles on back-to-back weeks.

Francisco fell to Diego Schwartzman in the Argentina Open final on Sunday, which means that there are only six pairs of brothers that have each claimed ATP singles titles, and just one active pair.

Today there are many brothers making a living on the ATP Tour together, even if they all haven’t won singles titles. Here’s a look at the siblings currently active on the ATP Tour today:

Stefanos and Petros Tsitsipas 

The Tsitsipas brothers are newly committed to playing doubles together, and they earned their first win as a tandem this week in Rotterdam. Stefanos is a well-known superstar of the sport, with a ranking of No 6 and three Grand Slam semi-finals to his name. Petros, currently ranked 967 in singles, has a lot of catching up to do, but he’s younger, at 20 years of age.

Andy and Jamie Murray 

The brothers Murray are both former No 1-ranked players. Andy held the top spot in singles, while Jamie has been a formidable talent on the double circuit for years. He owns five mixed doubles Grand Slam titles and two major doubles titles. He also held the No 1 doubles ranking for for nine weeks.

Ryan and Christian Harrison 

Ryan Harrison has been the more successful of the Harrison brothers, reaching a career-high ranking of 40 in the world. Christian, the younger of the two, has hit a career-high ranking of 198. The pair team up for doubles at the Slams and have reached two quarter-finals together. They recently reached their first ATP doubles final at Delray Beach.

Alexander and Mischa Zverev 

Two of the most successful siblings on the ATP Tour are Alexander and Mischa Zverev. Mischa, the left-handed serve-and-volley tactician, reached 25 in the world. His younger brother Alexander has reached all the way to No.3 in the world and owns 13 ATP titles. Mischa helps out as Alexander’s coach these days as well.

Ken and Neal Skupski

This pair of British brothers, Ken and Neal Skupski, are both double specialists that have ranked inside of the ATP’s top 50 consistently. The Skupski brothers play together on tour quite frequently, and have been reunited thus far in 2021.

They won their first ATP title together in 2018.

Elias and Mikael Ymer

The Ymer brothers are two of the brightest stars in Swedish tennis at the moment. Mikael, just 22, has reached as high as 67 in the world, while Elias, two years older, has topped out at 105.

YMER BROTHERS | The Scandinavian-born brothers, with Ethiopian roots, are currently the highest ranked men in Swedish tennis – Mikael-68 (right), Elias-201 – and have already had ATP doubles success, winning the Stockholm title in 2016.

Novak and Djordje and Marko Djokovic 

Novak Djokovic is the big dog in the family, but his brothers Marko (still technically active according to the ATP) and Djordje (inactive) have both cut their teeth on the ATP Tour. Marko Djokovic got his ranking up to 571, but never won an ATP level match in four tries. Djordje never got higher than 1463 and never played an ATP match.

Jurgen and Gerald Melzer 

Jurgen Melzer is a legendary former top 10 player that reached No 6 in the world rankings and claimed 17 titles on tour. He also won two major doubles titles and one in mixed. His younger brother Gerald reached as high as 68 in the world, but he’s outside of the top 1000 at the moment.

Dominic and Moritz Thiem

The domination in the family comes from Dominic, the 2020 US Open champion. But Domi’s brother Moritz is young, at 21. He has earned just over $5,000 on tour as of March 2021 and never played an ATP level match. He hasn’t yet beaten anybody inside the top 500.

Marcel and Gerard Granollers 

Marcel, 34, is the better known player of this sibling duo. He has been ranked as high as No 4 in the world in doubles and claimed 21 titles, and reached three Grand Slam doubles finals as well as winning three Davis Cups. His brother Marcel, 32, has reached as high as 92 in the world in doubles.
