Where does Nicolas Mahut come from?
Nicolas Mahut was born on January 21, 1982, in Angers (Maine-et-Loire). Now, he lives in Boulogne-Billancourt, not far from Paris, with his wife Virginie and their son Natanel, who has often been seen on the court after his father’s successes. At 38, he is one of the oldest players on the Tour.

Mahut began his illustrious doubles career in 2003 with Julien Benneteau, now the captain of France’s Fed Cup team. With Edouard Roger-Vasselin, he won seven titles between 2012 and 2013 and between 2018 and 2019. But it’s with Pierre-Hugues Herbert that his record has grown. The two Frenchmen have won the career Grand Slam together, triumphing at the US Open in 2015, at Wimbledon in 2016, Roland-Garros in 2018 and at the Australian Open in 2019.
