“My best match without a doubt” – Nadal happy with form after win over Sonego

Spaniard Rafael Nadal, the second seed, beat Italian Lorenzo Sonego, the No 27 seed, 6-1, 6-2, 6-4 to advance to the last 16 of Wimbledon on Saturday.

“Probably has been my best match without a doubt here during the championships,” Nadal said. “I think probably the most difficult player that I faced, my level has been able to raise a lot. Super happy for that.”

Nadal, ranked No 4, will play Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp, the No 21 seed, next.

Nadal wins in straight sets for the first time this year at Wimbledon. He hit 24 winners against 17 unforced errors and won 78 percent of his first-serve points.
