Cali Open: Podoroska wins the trophy
Nadia Podoroska won the title on Sunday evening against Paula Ormaechea

Nadia Podoroska defeated Paula Ormaechea 6-4, 6-2 to win the Cali Open tournament at the Club Campestre de Cali on Sunday evening.
Podoroska, ranked No 156, beat Hungarian Reka Luca Jani, the top seed (6-0, 6-2), Frenchwoman Carole Monnet (4-6, 6-3, 6-1), Mexican Fernanda Contreras Gomez, the No 8 seed (6-3, 6-3) and Colombian wildcard Emiliana Arango (6-4, 6-1) ahead of her victory.
In the previous rounds of the Cali tournament, Ormaechea, ranked No 206, defeated Pole Weronika Falkowska (5-7, 6-0, 6-1), Spaniard Aliona Bolsova, the No 3 seed (7-6 (4), 6-3), American Elvina Kalieva (7-5, 3-6, 6-3) and Brazilian Laura Pigossi, the second seed (7-5, 6-3).
