San Luis Potosi Open: Cocciaretto books spot in semi-finals
Elisabetta Cocciaretto won against Tamara Zidansek 6-2, 6-4 on Saturday night and will face Russian Elina Avanesyan in the next round

Italian Elisabetta Cocciaretto, the top seed, reached the last four of the San Luis Potosi Open by defeating Slovenian Tamara Zidansek 6-2, 6-4 on Saturday night.
Cocciaretto, ranked No 49, will play Russian Elina Avanesyan next.
The 22-year-old Italian won against Mexican Marcela Zacarias (6-3, 6-0) and Argentinian Nadia Podoroska (7-6 (8), 6-1) ahead of her victory.
Earlier in the tournament, Zidansek, ranked No 112, beat Mexican wildcard Ana Sofia Sanchez (6-3, 6-4) and Russian Kamilla Rakhimova, the No 5 seed (7-6 (3), 6-3).
