Estonian Anett Kontaveit, the top seed, won against Czech Tereza Martincova 6-2, 6-1 to move into the last eight of the Tallinn Open at the Forus Tennis Centre on Thursday evening.
Kontaveit, ranked No 4, will play Belgian qualifier Ysaline Bonaventure next.
The Estonian edged out Chinese Xiyu Wang (3-6, 6-2, 7-5) in the previous round.
In the previous round, Martincova, ranked No 75, defeated Swede lucky loser Mirjam Bjorklund (7-6 (6), 6-3).
