Russian Anna Kalinskaya defeated Slovenian Tamara Zidansek, the No 7 seed, 7-6 (2), 3-6, 6-3 to reach the second round of the Lausanne Open at Tennis Club du Stade-Lausanne on Monday evening.
Kalinskaya, ranked No 73, will play the winner of the match between Serb qualifier Olga Danilovic and Japanese Misaki Doi next.
