Frenchwoman Oceane Dodin advanced to the second round of the Palermo Open by winning against Italian qualifier Matilde Paoletti 6-4, 7-5 at A.S.D. Country Time Club in Palerme on Monday evening.
Dodin, ranked No 77, will play the winner of the match between Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu, the No 6 seed, and Spanish qualifier Marina Bassols Ribera next.
