US Open: Giorgi advances to second round

Italian Camila Giorgi defeated Hungarian Anna Bondar 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 to move into the second round of the US Open at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City on Monday.

Giorgi, ranked No 67, will play the winner of the match between American Madison Keys, the No 20 seed, and Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska next.
