Monastir Open: Zidansek books spot in last eight

Slovenian Tamara Zidansek moved into the quarter-finals of the Monastir Open by winning against Russian Anastasia Potapova, the No 6 seed, 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 at the Monastir Tennis Club on Thursday.
Zidansek, ranked No 101, will face Frenchwoman Alize Cornet, the No 3 seed, next.
The Slovenian edged out Spanish qualifier Marina Bassols Ribera (5-7, 6-3, 7-5) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round of the Jasmin Open Tunisia, Potapova, ranked No 51, defeated wildcard Mirra Andreeva (6-3, 6-7 (4), 6-3).
