Marseille Open: Bonzi upsets Cressy to reach quarter-finals

Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi moved into the quarter-finals of the Marseille Open by winning against American Maxime Cressy, the No 5 seed, 6-7 (5), 6-4, 6-3 at the Palais des sports de Marseille on Wednesday afternoon.
Bonzi, ranked No 60, will play the winner of the match between Swiss qualifier Alexander Ritschard and Australian Alex De Minaur, the No 3 seed, next.
In the previous round of the Open de Provence, the Frenchman beat wildcard Luca Van Assche (7-5, 7-5).
Cressy, ranked No 37, edged out French wildcard Geoffrey Blancaneaux (6-3, 6-7 (5), 7-6 (4)) in the previous round of the Open de Provence.
