Wawrinka rallies past Gasquet into Marseille quarter-finals

Swiss Stan Wawrinka won against Frenchman Richard Gasquet, the No 7 seed, 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 to advance to the last 8 of the Marseille Open at the Palais des sports de Marseille on Wednesday evening.
Wawrinka, ranked No 105, will play the winner of the match between French wildcard Arthur Fils and Italian Jannik Sinner, the second seed, next.
The 37-year-old Swiss edged out Belgian Zizou Bergs (6-4, 6-7 (6), 6-4) in the previous round of the Open de Provence.
In the previous round of the Open de Provence, Gasquet, ranked No 43, edged out qualifier Laurent Lokoli (7-6 (5), 2-6, 7-6 (5)).
