Alexandre Muller will play for his maiden tour-level trophy on Sunday after beating Pavel Kotov in the Marrakech semi-final, 7-6 (3), 7-5.
Both Kotov and Muller were in their maiden tour-level semi-finals.
Muller was the only semi-finalist in Marrakech who had reached a final at any level so far in 2023, achieving that at the Waco Challenger.
In reaching the final, he will now break the Top 100 of the rankings for the first time, beyond his current career high of world No 126.
He will face Roberto Carballes Baena in the final, whom he has played once before, in Roland-Garros four years ago, when the Spaniard won in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4, 6-2.
