Barcelona Open: Tsitsipas makes last eight, sets up meeting with de Minaur

Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, the second seed, moved into the quarter-finals of the Barcelona Open by winning against Canadian Denis Shapovalov, the No 14 seed, 6-3, 6-2 at Real Club de Tenis Barcelona on Thursday.
Tsitsipas, ranked No 5, will play Australian Alex De Minaur, the No 8 seed, next.
The Greek defeated Argentinian Pedro Cachin (6-4, 6-2) in the previous round of the Barcelona tournament.
During the second round of the Barcelona tournament, Shapovalov, ranked No 28, won against Slovak qualifier Jozef Kovalik (6-4, 6-3).
