Halle: Sinner battles past Gasquet in first round
Jannik Sinner won against Richard Gasquet 6-3, 5-7, 6-2 on Tuesday and will face Italian Lorenzo Sonego in the next round

Italian Jannik Sinner, the No 4 seed, reached the second round of Halle by winning against Frenchman Richard Gasquet 6-3, 5-7, 6-2 at the Owl Arena/Gerry-Weber-Stadion on Tuesday.
Sinner, ranked No 9, will play Italian Lorenzo Sonego next.
