Russian Daria Kasatkina won against Czech Karolina Pliskova 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 to move into the quarter-finals of the Eastbourne International at Devonshire Park Lawn Club.
Kasatkina, ranked No 11, will face the winner of the match between Romanian qualifier Ana Bogdan and Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia, the second seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, the Russian defeated Ukrainian Anhelina Kalinina (6-3, 6-1).
Pliskova, ranked No 18, benefited from the abandonment of Belgian Elise Mertens (6-7 (3), 6-3, 3-0) in the previous round of the Eastbourne tournament.
