Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo, the No 4 seed, advanced to the last 8 of the Eastbourne Open by defeating Swiss qualifier Marc-Andrea Huesler 7-6 (2), 7-6 (5) at the Devonshire Park Lawn Tennis Club.
Cerundolo, ranked No 19, will face the winner of the match between American Maxime Cressy and Chinese Zhizhen Zhang next.
Huesler, ranked No 83, won against wildcard Ryan Peniston (6-3, 6-2) in the previous round of the Eastbourne tournament.
