Russian lucky loser Sofya Lansere reached the last 16 of the Palermo Open when Serb Olga Danilovic retired at A.S.D. Country Time Club.
Lansere, ranked No 353, led 6-3 when Danilovic, ranked No 104, pulled out at A.S.D. Country Time Club on Tuesday afternoon.
The 22-year-old Russian will play the winner of the match between Spaniard Jessica Bouzas Maneiro and Egyptian Mayar Sherif, the No 3 seed, next.
