Iasi Open: Bogdan wins the tournament in clash of top seeds against Begu

Second seed Ana Bogdan beat top seed Irina-Camelia Begu 6-2, 6-3 to lift the Iasi Open trophy at Baza Sportivă Ciric on Sunday.
Bogdan, ranked No 49, defeated Barbora Palicova (2-6, 7-5, 6-1), Swiss lucky loser Conny Perrin (6-4, 3-6, 6-1), Swiss Simona Waltert, the No 5 seed (6-0, 6-4) and Cypriot Raluka Serban (6-3, 4-6, 6-3) in the previous rounds.
Earlier in the tournament, Begu, ranked No 31, beat Frenchwoman Chloe Paquet (7-6 (4), 6-1), Hungarian Reka Luca Jani (6-3, 6-1), Swiss Jil Teichmann, the No 6 seed (1-6, 6-4, 6-0) and Slovenian Tamara Zidansek, the No 8 seed (5-7, 6-4, 6-3).
