Croat Borna Gojo beat Chilean Cristian Garin 7-5, 4-6, 6-3 to reach the second round of the Los Cabos Open at the Cabo del Mar Sports Center on Wednesday night.
Gojo, ranked No 115, will face Belarusian Ilya Ivashka, the No 8 seed, next.
