Romanian Jaqueline Cristian reached the last 8 of the Prague Open by winning against Colombian qualifier Emiliana Arango 6-4, 6-3 at TK Sparta Praha on Wednesday.
Cristian, ranked No 122, will play Ukrainian Kateryna Baindl, the No 8 seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, the Romanian edged out top seed Marie Bouzkova (6-4, 4-6, 6-4).
Arango, ranked No 181, defeated wildcard Barbora Palicova (6-3, 6-2) in the previous round of the Prague tournament.
