American Aleksandar Kovacevic edged out second seed Cameron Norrie 5-7, 7-6 (7), 6-4 to reach the quarter-finals of the Los Cabos Open at the Cabo del Mar Sports Center on Thursday night.
Kovacevic, ranked No 129, will play German Dominik Koepfer, the No 7 seed, next.
Ahead of his victory, the American won against qualifier Omni Kumar (6-2, 7-5).
