Krejcikova races past Kasatkina to reach Zhengzhou final

Seventh seed Barbora Krejcikova beat Russian Daria Kasatkina, the No 8 seed, 6-3, 6-0 to reach the final of the Zhengzhou Open at Zhongyuan Tennis Training Base Management Center on Saturday.
Krejcikova, ranked No 18, will play Chinese Qinwen Zheng next. It’s the Czech’s fourth final of 2023.
Barbora Krejcikova won against Croat Petra Martic (7-5, 6-1) and Ukrainian qualifier Lesia Tsurenko (6-3 ret.) ahead of her victory.
In the previous rounds of the Zhengzhou tournament, Kasatkina, ranked No 12, won against Hungarian lucky loser Timea Babos (6-1, 7-6 (7)), Chinese wildcard Zhuoxuan Bai (6-2, 6-4) and Tunisian Ons Jabeur, the No 4 seed (W/O).
