Mexican Renata Zarazua, the second seed, won against American qualifier Haley Giavara 6-0, 7-5 to move into the second round of the Montevideo Open at the Carrasco Lawn Tennis Club on Tuesday evening.
Zarazua, ranked No 128, will play Romanian qualifier Gabriela Lee next.
