Angers Open: Yastremska moves into last four

Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska, the No 6 seed, moved into the last four of the Angers Open by edging out American Mccartney Kessler 5-7, 6-3, 7-6 (9) at the Arena Loire de Trélazé on Friday.
Yastremska, ranked No 106, will play the winner of the match between Russian Erika Andreeva and Frenchwoman Clara Burel, the second seed, next.
The Ukrainian edged out French wildcard Tiphanie Lemaitre (2-6, 6-2, 6-4) and won against Cypriot Raluka Serban (6-4, 6-3) earlier in the tournament.
In the previous rounds of the Angers tournament, Kessler, ranked No 235, beat Dane Clara Tauson, the No 4 seed (7-6 (2), 6-3) and Maltese Francesca Curmi (6-4, 6-3).
