French qualifier Luca Van Assche reached the second round of the Auckland Open by defeating American J.J. Wolf 6-4, 6-2 at the ASB Tennis Arena on Monday.
Van Assche, ranked No 90 in the world, will face second seed Cameron Norrie next.
