Lehecka through to Adelaide quarters after battle with Lajovic
Jiri Lehecka won against Dusan Lajovic 7-5, 4-6, 6-3 on Wednesday night and will face Chilean Nicolas Jarry, the second seed, in the next round
No 7 seed Jiri Lehecka advanced to the quarter-finals of the Adelaide Open by winning against Serb Dusan Lajovic 7-5, 4-6, 6-3 at the Memorial Drive Tennis Centre on Wednesday night.
Lehecka, ranked No 32, will play Chilean Nicolas Jarry, the second seed, next.
Jiri Lehecka beat Australian qualifier Adam Walton (6-1, 6-3) ahead of his victory. In the previous round of the Adelaide tournament, Lajovic, ranked No 52, edged out Australian wildcard Thanasi Kokkinakis (3-6, 6-1, 6-4).
