Adelaide Open: Bublik makes quarter-finals

Kazakh Alexander Bublik, the No 8 seed, moved into the last eight of the Adelaide Open by defeating Daniel Evans 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 at the Memorial Drive Tennis Centre on Wednesday night.
Bublik, ranked No 31, will play the winner of the match between Italian Lorenzo Musetti, the No 4 seed, and Australian Jordan Thompson next.
Ahead of his victory, the Kazakh won against Australian lucky loser James McCabe (6-2, 6-3).
Evans, ranked No 40, beat Australian wildcard Rinky Hijikata (6-3, 6-4) in the previous round of the Adelaide tournament.
