Spain’s Roberto Carballes Baena, the No 8 seed, reached the second round of the Cordoba Open by winning against Argentinian wildcard Mariano Navone 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 at the Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes on Tuesday.
Carballes Baena, ranked No 65, will play qualifier Facundo Bagnis next.
