Mumbai Open: Semenistaja advances to final

Latvian Darja Semenistaja, the No 6 seed, won against Dutchwoman Arianne Hartono 7-5, 6-4 to move into the final of the Mumbai Open at the Cricket Club of India on Saturday afternoon.
Semenistaja, ranked No 121, will face Australian Storm Hunter next.
The 21-year-old Latvian beat Hungarian Panna Udvardy (7-5, 3-6, 6-2), French qualifier Amandine Hesse (2-6, 6-4, 6-4) and Russian Polina Kudermetova (6-4, 6-3) ahead of her victory.
Earlier in the tournament, Hartono, ranked No 153, won against Romanian Irina Bara (6-4, 6-4), Australian Arina Rodionova, the No 4 seed (6-4, 6-4) and Japanese Moyuka Uchijima (6-3, 4-3 ret.).
