Russian Karen Khachanov, the second seed, moved into the quarter-finals of the Qatar Open by defeating Hungarian Fabian Marozsan 6-4, 7-5 at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha on Wednesday afternoon.
Khachanov, ranked No 17, will face the winner of the match between Australian Christopher O’Connell and Finn Emil Ruusuvuori next.
In the previous round of the Doha tournament, Marozsan, ranked No 60, won against qualifier Vit Kopriva (7-5, 7-6 (6)).
