Charleston Open 125: Masarova beats Rus to book spot in second round
Rebeka Masarova edged out Arantxa Rus 6-3, 4-6, 7-5 in Charleston and will play Emina Bektas in the next round

Spaniard Rebeka Masarova advanced to the second round of the Charleston Open 125 by edging out Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus, the second seed, 6-3, 4-6, 7-5 at the Family Circle Tennis Center.
Masarova, ranked No 96, will play Emina Bektas next.
