Charleston Open 125: Minnen beats Masarova to make last four

Belgian Greet Minnen defeated Spaniard Rebeka Masarova 7-6 (2), 3-6, 6-3 to move into the last four of the Charleston Open 125 at the Family Circle Tennis Center.
Minnen, ranked No 81, will face the winner of the match between American qualifier Mccartney Kessler and Italian Elisabetta Cocciaretto, the No 4 seed, next.
The Belgian won against German Tamara Korpatsch, the No 8 seed (6-2, 6-4) and Belarusian Aliaksandra Sasnovich (6-1, 6-2) in the previous rounds of the Charleston 125 tournament.
Earlier in the tournament, Masarova, ranked No 96, edged out Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus, the second seed (6-3, 4-6, 7-5) and won against American Emina Bektas (6-3, 6-3).
