Miami Open: Putintseva moves into last eight

Kazakh Yulia Putintseva beat Ukrainian Anhelina Kalinina, the No 32 seed, 6-4, 7-6 (5) to reach the last 8 of the Miami Open at the Hard Rock Stadium on Monday evening.
Putintseva, ranked No 68, will face the winner of the match between Belarusian Victoria Azarenka, the No 27 seed, and No 24 seed Katie Boulter next.
The Kazakh won against Spaniard Cristina Bucsa (6-2, 3-6, 6-4), Russian Liudmila Samsonova, the No 13 seed (6-1, 4-6, 6-3) and Belgian lucky loser Greet Minnen (6-2, 2-6, 6-4) ahead of her victory.
Earlier in the tournament, Kalinina, ranked No 36, edged out Dane wildcard Caroline Wozniacki (5-7, 7-5, 6-4) and won against Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, the second seed (6-4, 1-6, 6-1).
