Bogota Open: Maria makes last eight

German Tatjana Maria, the second seed, moved into the quarter-finals of the Bogota Open by winning against Argentinian Julia Riera 2-6, 6-0, 6-2 at the Country Club Bogota on Thursday.
Maria, ranked No 46, will play Colombian Camila Osorio, the No 6 seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, the 36-year-old German defeated Hungarian Anna Bondar (6-3, 6-2).
Riera, ranked No 111, won against Colombian Emiliana Arango (6-0, 6-3) in the previous round of the Bogota tournament.
