Bogota Open: Rakhimova overcomes bagel to make semi-finals

Russian Kamilla Rakhimova, the No 8 seed, edged out Spaniard Cristina Bucsa, the No 4 seed, 0-6, 6-4, 7-5 to advance to the last four of the Bogota Open at the Country Club Bogota on Friday evening.
Rakhimova, ranked No 92, will face the winner of the match between top seed Marie Bouzkova and German Laura Siegemund, the No 7 seed, next.
The 22-year-old Russian won against Colombian wildcard Valentina Mediorreal Arias (6-4, 6-7 (6), 6-1) and Mexican Renata Zarazua (7-6 (4), 6-7 (5), 6-3) in the previous rounds of the Bogota tournament.
Earlier in the tournament, Bucsa, ranked No 75, defeated Chinese qualifier Xiaodi You (6-1, 7-5) and German Jule Niemeier (6-4, 6-1).
