French qualifier Gregoire Barrere reached the last eight of the Bucharest Open by upsetting American Sebastian Korda, the No 3 seed, 6-4, 6-4 at the National Tennis Centre on Friday.
Barrere, ranked No 128, will face the winner of the match between Serb Miomir Kecmanovic and Spaniard Pedro Martinez, the No 8 seed, next.
Ahead of his win today, the Frenchman beat Australian Thanasi Kokkinakis (7-5, 6-3).
