American Peyton Stearns, the No 3 seed, moved into the last 16 of the L’Open 35 de Saint Malo by winning against French lucky loser Margaux Rouvroy 6-4, 6-1 on Tuesday afternoon.
Stearns, ranked No 87, will face Australian Taylah Preston next.
