Catalonia Open: Siniakova advances to final against Sherif

Second seed Katerina Siniakova won against Colombian Camila Osorio, the No 7 seed, 6-3, 6-4 to reach the final of the Catalonia Open on Saturday.
Siniakova, ranked No 40, will face Egyptian Mayar Sherif next.
Earlier in the tournament, the Czechwoman beat American Alycia Parks (6-2, 6-4), Lina Gjorcheska (6-2, 6-2) and American Ashlyn Krueger (2-6, 6-2, 6-1).
Osorio, ranked No 63, defeated Swede qualifier Mirjam Bjorklund (4-1 ret.), Croat Lucija Ciric Bagaric (6-0, 1-6, 6-1) and Pole Magdalena Frech, the No 4 seed (4-6, 7-6 (8), 7-6 (4)) in the previous rounds.
