Pole qualifier Magdalena Frech moved into the last 16 of the Strasbourg Open by winning against American Sloane Stephens 6-3, 6-3 at the Tennis Club de Strasbourg on Monday afternoon.

Frech, ranked No 54, will face top seed Marketa Vondrousova next.
