Eastbourne Open: Nishioka makes quarter-finals

Japanese qualifier Yoshihito Nishioka defeated American Marcos Giron 6-7 (8), 6-4, 6-2 to move into the quarter-finals of the Eastbourne Open at the Devonshire Park Lawn Tennis Club on Wednesday.
Nishioka, ranked No 102, will face the winner of the match between Kazakh Alexander Bublik, the No 3 seed, and Australian lucky loser Aleksandar Vukic next.
Ahead of his victory, the Japanese won against wildcard Liam Broady (6-3, 6-4).
Giron, ranked No 46, beat Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo, the No 5 seed (7-6 (5), 7-6 (4)) in the previous round of the Eastbourne tournament.
