French qualifier Carole Monnet won against Hungarian qualifier Amarissa Toth 6-1, 6-1 to advance to the second round of the Hungarian Open at Római Tennis Academy in Budapest on Monday.
Monnet, ranked No 221, will face Dutchwoman Suzan Lamens next.
