Iasi Open: Danilovic makes semi-finals

Serb Olga Danilovic won against Hungarian Anna Bondar, the No 8 seed, 7-5, 6-2 to advance to the semi-finals of the Iasi Open at the Ciric Sports Base on Wednesday.
Danilovic, ranked No 148, will play Russian Mirra Andreeva, the top seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, the Serb defeated Russian Anna Blinkova, the No 4 seed (6-2, 5-7, 6-1) and Romanian Anca Todoni (6-1, 6-1).
Bondar, ranked No 99, beat Belgian qualifier Marie Benoit (6-3, 6-1) and Spaniard Marina Bassols Ribera (7-5, 6-4) in the previous rounds of the Iasi tournament.
